AI penetration testing with safe exploit proof
What is AI penetration testing?
Most teams test once a year and hope nothing changes in between. Nebula is the AI security engineer inside BreachLine. You tell it what you're authorised to test, it plans the work, runs the tools and investigates what it finds, and you follow along in your workspace. Where a flaw can be exploited, Nebula proves it safely, so you see evidence rather than a guess. When you've fixed something, ask Nebula to retest it.
BreachLine Labs is a UK company based in London, with plans priced in pounds.

How does AI penetration testing work with Nebula?
- 01
Set the target and the question.
Start with the systems you're authorised to test, the environment and what you want to find out. Add exclusions, test accounts and any API or architecture notes. Clear scope keeps the work focused.
- 02
Nebula plans and tests.
It plans steps, uses browser, terminal and security tools, and adjusts as results come in. You can follow the conversation, add context or redirect the work within the agreed scope.
- 03
Review the evidence.
Each finding shows the affected feature, the test account and permissions, reproduction steps and what was actually observed, so you can tell a proven weakness from a hunch.
- 04
Fix, then retest.
Use the evidence to fix the issue, then ask Nebula to retest the changed system and compare before with after. Tests and retests use platform credits.
What do you get with a finding?
- The affected asset, endpoint or feature
- The test identity, permissions and prerequisites
- Reproduction steps and supporting observations
- Safe proof of exploitation, where the flaw can be exploited
- The observed impact, a suggested fix and any remaining uncertainty
- Mapping to OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK, with a CVSS score
- A retest result tied to the original finding
Is AI pentesting the same as a vulnerability scan?
| Comparison | Vulnerability scanner | Nebula (AI penetration testing) | Scoped manual engagement |
|---|---|---|---|
| How it works | Runs a fixed set of checks | Plans a sequence, uses several tools, investigates results | Testers work to an agreed scope |
| Proof | Matches reported | Safe exploit proof where a flaw can be exploited | Tester's report |
| When it runs | On schedule | On demand or on a schedule | Booked engagement |
| Retests | Re-scan | On request (uses credits) | Agreed in the quote |
| From BreachLine | - | Platform plans from £399/mo | Services, separate quote |
Does AI remove the need for review?
No. You still set the scope, give the right access and judge the findings. AI can make mistakes, and a feature that couldn't be reached or a test that didn't finish isn't evidence that a system is secure. Check what was tested and what's still unknown.

Frequently asked questions
What is AI penetration testing?
An AI agent plans security checks, operates tools and investigates weaknesses in systems you're authorised to test. With Nebula, you set the scope and review the evidence in your workspace.
Is AI penetration testing the same as a vulnerability scan?
No. A scanner runs a set list of checks and reports matches. Nebula plans a sequence, uses several tools and investigates the results, and, where a flaw can be exploited, proves it safely.
Is BreachLine a UK company?
Yes. BreachLine Labs Limited is a UK company based in London (company number 17072871), and our plans are priced in pounds.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at £399 a month. Testing and retests both use credits; retests aren't free. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
Can Nebula retest my fixes?
Yes. Ask Nebula to verify a fix and it retests the changed system against the original finding. Retests aren't free: they use credits from your plan, like other testing.
Do I still need to review the results?
Yes. You define the scope and access and assess the findings. AI can make mistakes, so check what was tested and what remains unknown.
Software, services or a focused review
Use the platform
Run and follow security work in your workspace. Review plans and usage credits, then use the setup and API documentation.
Scope an assessment
Need an engagement delivered by penetration testers? Our penetration testing and red teaming services have an agreed scope and a separate quote.
Start with one file
Use the free security review tools for dependencies, code and configuration, or connect the security MCP server to an existing agent. These focused reviews do not replace a penetration test.
